When you start the dryer, electricity is sent through the Thermostatic PTC Ceramic Air Heater. Initially, the heater heats up quickly, due to low resistance but once it reaches a particular temperature (its Curie point) resistance spikes thereby automatically limiting power consumption and ensuring constant heat output.
