Comparison of several common electric heating wires:

1. Fe Cr Al wire

It is widely used in the production of stainless steel electric heating tube and its price is relatively low. The heating temperature in air can reach 900-1100 ℃.

2. Nichrome wire

It is easy to weld and process; it is not easy to deform in high temperature working environment. The upper limit of heating temperature is about 1050 ℃.

3. Other pure metal heating elements (such as tungsten, tantalum, etc.)

The high melting point metal has high resistance coefficient and high melting point, but its oxidation resistance is poor in air. The power is unstable during operation. The melting point of tantalum can reach about 3000 ℃, but it can be used in vacuum as long as it reaches 600 ℃ in air. It is characterized by high temperature resistance, but it becomes brittle and easy to break in high temperature working environment.

Tungsten wire is more common. The commonly used component in incandescent lamp is tungsten wire. The temperature resistance can reach about 2900 degrees. However, once exposed to air, it will oxidize rapidly. Its characteristic is poor processing performance. Generally, the processing temperature is controlled at about 500 ℃.
