(1) Clockwork

It is made of elastic steel strip. When in use, the mainspring is wound up by manpower through the knob to store potential energy. When the spring automatically relaxes, the stored energy is released to transmit power to the gear mechanism and the time control assembly.

(2) Gear transmission mechanism

According to the different gear clutching methods when winding, the mechanical timer can be divided into three types of transmission mechanisms: spring tube type, pawl type and small spring type.

(3) Time control components

The structure of the time control components of various mechanical timers is basically the same. One or two sets of cams are used to distribute the time.
