How to maintain a small cartridge heater?

Apr 07, 2022

The installation of a small cartridge heater is relatively simple compared to other electric heating tubes, but how to maintain a small cartridge heater to ensure its work efficiency and work market is a relatively complex issue. Today we will mainly talk some tips about how to maintenance a small cartridge heater.

1. If the cartridge heater has been used for a long time, and thick dirt and grease accumulate on the surface, it should be removed regularly, otherwise the heat transfer performance of the single-head tube will be reduced and the heat load on the surface of the tube will exceed the rated allowable and be damaged.

2. When heating some viscous substances, such as sodium nitrate, stearic acid, paraffin, etc., the power supply voltage should be reduced at the beginning of heating to reduce the calorific value of the single-head tube, and when it is all melted into a liquid, it can be increased to the rated voltage heating.

3. The cartridge heater should be stored in a dry warehouse. If the surface is damp due to long-term storage, the insulation resistance should be measured with a megohmmeter before use. If it is less than 1 megohm/500V, the cartridge heater should be placed in Dry in a drying oven at 200 degrees
