How to Use Thermal fuse overheating protector in Industrial Equipment

Aug 01, 2025

Determine Installation Point

Install the thermal fuse in thermal contact with the critical heat source (e.g., motor winding, heater plate, control board, etc.).

Avoid placing it too far from the heat source, or response time will be delayed.

Wiring

Wire the thermal fuse in series with the load or power supply circuit.

When the temperature exceeds the rated limit, the fuse will open the circuit and stop current flow.

Environmental Protection

Ensure it's not exposed to oil, moisture, or corrosive substances.

If operating in harsh conditions, consider using ceramic-sealed or encapsulated thermal fuses.

Testing & Replacement

Once blown, the thermal fuse must be replaced.

Always verify the temperature rating and electrical ratings when replacing to ensure safety compliance.
