Wiring method of resistance finned heating element

If it is a heating tube with a rated voltage of 220V, it needs to be connected to a 380V circuit, and a star connection is required.

If it is a heating tube with a rated voltage of 380V, it needs to be connected to a 380V circuit, and a delta connection is required.

Star connection:

1.Star connection method: there is a neutral point, the head end of each element is connected together (this point is called the neutral point), and the three tail ends are connected to three phase wires respectively. At this time, there are two voltage levels, namely line voltage and phase voltage, and the line voltage is equal to about 1.73 times the phase voltage, and the line current is equal to the phase current.

2.When the rated voltage of the three components is 220V; if the resistance values of the three components are different, the neutral point should be connected to the neutral line.

Delta connection:

1.Delta connection: the first end of each element of the electric heating tube is connected to the end of another element (that is, end to end), and the three contacts are connected to three phase wires respectively;

2.The characteristics of the delta connection: the rated voltage of the three electric heating tube elements is 380V, at this time, there is only one voltage level, the line voltage is equal to the phase voltage, and the line current is equal to about 1.73 times the phase current.

3. It should be noted that the original star connection method cannot be connected to a triangle, (if it is connected to a triangle, the phase voltage will rise to about 1.73 times, and the heating tube will be burnt if it is operated for a long time).

4. In the same way, the original delta connection method cannot be connected in a star shape. (If it is connected in a star shape, the phase voltage will be reduced to about 1.73 times, which cannot reach the normal power. If the rated load is applied, then it is in an overload state. Over time, the heating tube will inevitably be burnt).

5. Generally, the smaller power below 3-4KW is generally connected in a star shape, and the above larger power is generally connected in a triangle.

The phase current of the star connection is equal to the line current, and the line voltage is 3 times the root of the phase voltage. The delta connection is equal to the phase voltage, and the line current is 1.73 times the phase current. For a three-phase symmetrical load, it is connected to a certain connection.
