Its primary function is to conduct heat efficiently into the surrounding material, providing localized, intense, and precise heating.
Constructed with a resistance coil wound around a ceramic core and insulated by magnesium oxide (MgO) powder within a stainless steel sheath, it is engineered for high watt density and long life. The stainless steel sheath (typically SS 304, 321, or 316) provides excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation. These heaters are a cornerstone of industrial heating where space is constrained, and efficient heat transfer into a specific mass is critical, such as in plastic molding, hot stamping, and packaging equipment.
