Causes of PTC heater element output power attenuation
There are many factors that affect the aging and attenuation of PTC heater element, and the high Curie point is the main reason.
The higher the Curie point, the faster the PTC heater ages. In order to save costs, low-quality manufacturers often use components with TC≥260°C to make heaters in order to save costs. It seems that there is no problem at the initial stage of use, but as time goes by, the aging attenuation is obvious.
Constant temperature heating thermistor has the characteristics of constant temperature heating, and the output power of the component is attenuated by about 10%. After the thermistor is energized, it heats up by itself, so that the resistance value enters the jump zone. The constant temperature PTC heater and the thermistor surface temperature maintain a constant value. The temperature is only related to the PTC heater, the Curie temperature of the thermistor, and the applied voltage. It has nothing to do with the ambient temperature. The electric heater and the automatic temperature control cabinet have been connected with high temperature resistance wires before leaving the factory. The position of the transfer switch SA 10° is "stop the electric heater", the position of -30° is "the electric heater is operated locally", and the position of +30° is "the electric heater is remotely controlled".
