How to choose a mold cartridge heater?

Generally, mold heating is to punch holes in the mold, and then insert the cartridge heater directly into the mold hole. From this point of view, the cartridge heater and the double-head heating rod must first meet the mold heating from the appearance.

In fact, generally more than 80% of customers will use cartridge heaters for their own mold heating. Due to their own internal structure, they can be small in size and high in power. This kind of heating rod with small volume and high power is very popular with customers. At the same time, since the cartridge heater has two terminals on one side, the convenience of wiring has been greatly improved, so the cartridge heater is widely used in the mold heating environment.

What should we pay attention to, when we use cartridge heater?

1. The diameter of the cartridge heater must be closely aligned with the diameter of the mold hole. Usually, the division between the two is less than 0.1mm. For example, a heating rod with a diameter of 10 should be a diameter within 10.1.

2. When the mounting hole is processed, the coaxiality and size tolerance should be effectively ensured. For example, use tools such as an ammonium knife to trim the processing.

3. Before installing the mold cartridge heater, the residue left in the processing, such as organic oil, will be carbonized after heating, which will affect the ability of heat transfer.

4. There will be no problem when using under the design voltage. The actual power during use can be calculated according to the following formula: [Use voltage/design voltage]*[Use voltage/design voltage]*Design power=Power during use.
