Fits near the cooling coils (follow the manual).
Plug into the correct voltage (check label).
Turns on by itself when frost builds up.
Melts ice, which drains away as water.
Keep the drain hole clear (so water can escape).
Check for damage if the machine isn't defrosting well.
Don't cover the heater (it needs airflow).
If ice keeps forming, the heater might need replacing.
