How to use the seedling pad
1. Check the seed packaging to determine the ideal temperature and light for seed germination.
2. Place the heating pad on a flat and dry surface, the area meets the requirements of the seed's illumination. This can be a natural or artificial light source. Note: Some seeds require complete darkness to germinate.
3. Insert the heating pad and set the thermostat to the desired temperature range.
4. Place the seeds flat on the top of the mat, and evenly distribute the heat source on the bottom of the flat bottom.
5. Check the slab daily to ensure that the heat is maintained at a stable temperature and the soil has enough moisture. Heating the soil usually causes it to dry out faster.
6. Once the seeds germinate, immediately remove the plants from the heating pad, otherwise they will grow too fast and become leggy and weak. Plants can move to another area to continue to grow at a slower rate, and eventually can be transferred to the ground or another larger pot.
7. Use seedling mats in the greenhouse
Greenhouses are ideal for germinating seeds in late winter and early spring because they provide a stable light source, warmth, humidity and oxygen. However, they are not always warm enough, and heating costs are high. Thermostatically controlled seedling mats are an excellent alternative to expensive heating systems and can directly use the heat for the required time and the exact time-nothing is more effective than this.
