The manufacturing process of ceramic infrared heaters involves several stages, from raw material preparation to the final assembly of the heating elements.

1. Raw Material Selection:

The process begins with the selection of high-quality ceramic materials, often alumina (aluminum oxide) or silicon carbide. These materials are chosen for their excellent thermal conductivity and electrical insulation properties.

2. Powder Preparation:

The selected ceramic materials are crushed into fine powders and carefully blended to achieve the desired composition and consistency.

3. Shaping:

The powdered ceramic material is mixed with binders and additives to create a malleable mixture. This mixture is then shaped into the desired form, which could be flat, tubular, or custom-designed shapes, depending on the type of ceramic infrared heater being produced.

4. Drying:

The formed ceramic elements are dried to remove excess moisture and binders. This step is essential to ensure the stability of the ceramic structure.

5. Firing:

The dried ceramic elements are fired in high-temperature kilns. During firing, the ceramic material undergoes sintering, which involves heating it to high temperatures to fuse the particles together, resulting in a dense and thermally conductive structure.

6. Coating (Optional):

Some ceramic infrared heaters are coated with a reflective layer or an emissive coating to enhance their infrared radiation efficiency. These coatings may be applied to the ceramic surface as needed.

7. Wire Element Insertion:

In cases where the ceramic infrared heater uses wire heating elements, these elements are inserted into the ceramic body. The wire elements are usually made of materials like nichrome or iron-chromium-aluminum alloys.

8. Electrical Connections:

Electrical terminals or connectors are attached to the heating elements to allow for easy electrical connection when the heater is installed.

9. Quality Control:

Throughout the manufacturing process, quality control checks are performed to ensure that the heating elements meet the specified dimensions and performance criteria.

10. Packaging:

Once the heaters pass quality control and testing, they are packaged for shipment to customers.
