Jaye's KST adiustable thermostat uses the bimetal as temperature response element. It has a shaft to enable adjust the temperatures and angles. The thermostat is usually sandwiched with two or more ceramics and stainless steel layers.  The bimetal strip deforms when the bimetal reaches a definite temperature. Trip of bimetal can separate the contactor quickly and cuts off the power. The reset of bimetal can switch on the power when the temperature decreased to the original level.
