How Aluminum Tube Heaters Work For Fridge Electric Defrost?

Aug 26, 2025

Jaye Heater Technology proudly presents our Aluminum Tube Heater, specifically designed for electric defrost in refrigeration systems. Engineered with precision, this heater ensures uniform heat distribution across the evaporator coils, preventing ice buildup and maintaining optimal cooling performance.

How It work:

  1. The aluminum tube heater is installed along the evaporator coils of the refrigerator or freezer. When the defrost cycle is activated, electric current flows through the heater, generating heat.
  2. Aluminum has high thermal conductivity, which allows the heat to spread evenly along the tube and onto the evaporator coils. This ensures that all ice or frost accumulated on the coils melts efficiently.
  3. As the ice melts, water droplets fall into the drain pan at the bottom of the fridge or freezer. This prevents frost buildup, which can reduce cooling efficiency.
  4. Once the defrost timer or sensor detects that the ice has melted and the coils have returned to the desired temperature, the heater automatically turns off. The refrigeration system then resumes normal cooling operation.
