- Storage Tanks/Offshore Platforms: Heating large metal structures to maintain weldability in cold climates.
- Stress Relief: Post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) to reduce residual stresses in pipelines/vessels.
- Repair Operations: On-site heating for corroded or damaged sections of oil rigs/refinery equipment.
Installation Example:
- Measure Pipe Circumference: Use formula L = 3.14 × (pipe diameter + pad thickness).
- Select Pads: Choose FCP size (e.g., CP12 for 12" pipes) and quantity based on heated zone length.
- Secure with Bands/Straps: Attach pads to the pipe and connect to a 60V/80V power source.
- Monitor Temperature: Use thermocouples for precise control during PWHT cycles.
