How to use the thermocouple correctly

May 13, 2022

When you buy a thermocouple, you should choose the thermocouple with the same graduation number as the measuring instrument. The following is a brief introduction to how to use the thermocouple correctly.

1. The measuring end of the thermocouple should be inserted into the bottom of the protection tube to ensure the accuracy of the measurement results.

2. The connection of the instrument must use the compensation wire matched with the thermocouple. The positive and negative poles of the thermocouple and the compensation wire should be connected correctly. Otherwise, it will not only fail to compensate, but also bring greater errors to the measurement results. .

3. When using thermocouple, the junction box should be well protected. The thermocouple junction box is used to connect the thermocouple and the measuring instrument. In order to prevent the thermocouple from being polluted, the outlet and the cover of the junction box are sealed with a hot piece, and the sealing gasket should be protected during using to prevent loss and damage.

4. Ensure the integrity of the insulating material. In the thermocouple loop, if the insulation between the two hot electrodes is poor or short-circuited, it will cause measurement errors or fail to measure. Therefore, it should be ensured that the two hot electrodes are always separated by insulating materials.
