Note on the use of cartridge heater

1, The use of high-power single-head electric heating tube in the mold, the need for the size of the barrel heating tube in the mold reserved for the installation hole (or according to the size of the installation hole custom single-head electric heating tube outside diameter), please try to reduce the gap between the heating tube and the installation hole, processing the installation hole, the one-sided gap is recommended to take 0.05mm or less. (That is, the tube diameter of the cartridge heater is smaller than the hole diameter of the mold as much as possible about 0.1mm is appropriate)

The installation gap is too large, resulting in poor fit between the heating tube and the metal, which is not conducive to the conduction of the heating tube surface temperature and directly affects the service life of the heating tube. The gap will be too large to extend the heating time, resulting in a slower response to temperature control.


It is recommended that the installation hole of the electric heating tube mold top screw screw into the prefabricated screw hole top heating tube (see the following schematic), general heating object temperature below 300 degrees and no precise requirements for temperature drilling holes can also be used.


2, Gas environment when using cartridge heaters, the installation location needs to be well ventilated, so that the heat emitted from the surface of the heating tube can be quickly conducted out. Surface load high cartridge heater, if the ventilation is not good easy to cause the heating tube surface heat is too high and burned.


3, Before installation must ensure that the mold hole is clean without oil residue; because the residue of the oil residue during machining will be carbonized after heating, which will affect the heat conduction of the heating tube and may cause damage to the heating tube.


4, Cartridge heater use, need to install firmly; not fixed heating tube in the mold hole, easy to move back and forth, may lead to the heating area exposed to the air or lead into the high temperature area. Or will cause heating tube damage, leakage, fire and other accidents, so consider the issue of heating tube fixed.


5, Be sure to customize the hole depth of the mold according to the length of the heating part of the cartridge heater, or the length of the heating part of the single-headed heating tube should be designed according to the depth of the mold hole.


The hole is too shallow leading to the heating tube heating part exposed after installation, no good heat dissipation environment, which will cause damage to the heating tube, and even cause fire and other accidents.


The hole is too deep to cause the sealing and wire part of the heating tube to fall into a higher use of bad environment after installation, which will probably lead to short circuit between electrodes and other problems in long-term use.
