Testing Requirements for Liquid Heaters

Aug 14, 2020

Liquid heater is a kind of equipment that heats liquid. It’s structure is simple, compact, stable in performance, and fast in heat dissipation. It has corrosion resistance, high thermal efficiency, etc., the application range is very wide, and the adaptability is relatively strong. It can be used in various occasions, especially explosion-proof occasions. So what are its testing requirements?

The testing requirements for liquid heaters mainly include the following aspects: power plugs, power cords, connectors, and various switches. The inspection items include signs, dimensions, structure, insulation resistance, electrical strength, creepage distance, electrical clearance, and heat resistance, flame resistance etc., these inspections are all national standards, and it is stipulated to inspect at least once a year to check whether the content of the mark is clearly visible. Whether the size of the plug meets the design standards, it must have sufficient mechanical strength, the creepage distance must be greater than 4 mm, the electrical clearance must also be greater than 3 mm, the glow wire test and the tracking resistance test, etc., must be met the testing requirements, if it does not, it must be repaired or replaced to ensure the normal use of the heater and also ensure the safety of use.
