The difference between dry heating tube and liquid heating tube

Mar 04, 2022

To heat different medium, we will choose different heating tubes. And it also influenced by working environments. Heating tubes can be roughly divided into air dry heating and liquid heating.

Although the heating tube allows dry heating, there is still a difference between the dry heating heating tube and the liquid heating tube.

Liquid heating tube:

When using liquid heating tube, it must be immersed in the liquid, so you must know the liquid level, so as to avoid the phenomenon of dry burning of the electric heating tube. If you heat softened water, you can choose stainless steel heating pipe 316 material. If heating corrosive liquid, 316 material, teflon or titanium pipe would be a better choice. If heating oil, you can use carbon steel or stainless steel because of its low cost and not rusting.

Dry heating tube:

Dry heating tube mainly includes stainless steel heating tube for oven, single-head heating tube for mold hole, finned heating tube for heating air, ect., It can be designed into different shapes and powers according to your requirements. Usually, the power of the dry burning pipe can not exceed 1KW per meter. With fan circulation, it can be increased to 1.5KW. It is best to equip thermostat with the dry heating tube to increase its service life. The heating tube is within the temperature range that it can withstand, so that the tube will not be heated all the time.
