The position of the thermocouple in the cartridge electric heating tube

May 18, 2022

Cartridge heater with a thermocouple refers that a K-type or J-type thermocouple is added inside it to detect the temperature. However, the position of the thermocouple is different, and the temperature position it detects is also different. The following introduces the position of the thermocouple in the cartridge electric heating tube:

1. Pipe bottom grounding type

The thermocouple is placed at the bottom of the tube and conducts with the outer shell of the electric heating tube. Since the temperature measuring node at the bottom can be in close contact with the mold, the temperature sensing speed is fast, and the process structure is suitable for all sizes of electric heating pipes

2. Pipe bottom non grounding type

The temperature sensing speed is slower than that of the bottom contact structure, and is often used as a reference temperature.

3. Pipe intermediate grounding type

It is suitable for electric heating tubes with a length longer than 80mm, used to measure the temperature inside the electric heating tube, and it plays the role of over-temperature monitoring.

4. Non-grounded type in the middle of the tube

It is suitable for electric heating pipes with a length longer than 80mm. It is used to measure the temperature of the inner wall of the electric heating pipe shell. It is used for testing the temperature of the electric heating pipe shell.
