How to use and maintain the cartridge heater?
1. The choice of cartridge heater should pay special attention to the heating medium. It should have no erosion effect on the single-ended tube shell material.
2. Additional, wiring lead-in local should be exposed in the heater insulation or outside the heater, so that this local should not overheat and suffer injury. Cartridge heater heating local should all be immersed in the heating medium, to avoid the heat energy dissipation is not fast and more than the permitted heating temperature so that the single-headed electric heating tube damage.
3. Input power, voltage should not exceed 10% of the rated voltage indicated on various single-headed tube, such as applied to lower than the rated voltage, the heat generated by the cartridge heater will also decline.
4. Cartridge heater terminals should be kept clean and dry, the opposite will reduce the insulation performance and be short-circuited breakdown, if applied with chemical corrosion, flammable, explosive and other liquids or gases in the environment, should be cartridge heater wiring part with insulation sealing device strictly to protect, to prevent accidents.
5. When heating certain mucilage and other substances, such as sodium nitrate, stearic acid, paraffin, etc., the beginning of heating should reduce the power supply voltage to reduce the heat of the single-headed tube, to be all melted into liquid, and then rise to the rated voltage for heating.
6. Cartridge heaters used for a long time, if the surface of a thicker collection of pipe scale, oil scale, should be regularly removed, otherwise the cartridge heater will reduce the heat transfer performance and cause the tube surface heat load more than the rated allowed and damaged.
7. Cartridge heater terminal, in the wiring should be 2 nuts relative fastening, do not force too hard to avoid the lead screw loose and make single-headed tube damage.
8. Cartridge heater should be stored in a dry warehouse, if placed for a long time, the surface is damp, in the use of the application of megohm table to measure the insulation resistance. If less than 1 megohm / 500 volts, the cartridge heater should be placed in a dry box at 200 degrees for drying.
9. Special cartridge heater should read the relevant instructions in detail before installation and use, so as not to make it damaged.
