Wavelength of Infrared Heating Tube

Sep 02, 2022

There are 3 types wavelength of Infrared Heating Tube.

1.Short wave

Short wave infrared heaters can reach a high power density of hundreds of kW/m2 when arranged on site at a temperature higher than 1800 ° C. Their peak wave is far lower than the absorption spectrum of water, so they are not suitable for many drying applications. They are very suitable for heating silica that requires deep penetration.

2.Medium wave

The filament temperature of the medium wave and carbon (CIR) infrared heater is about 1000 ℃. Their power density can reach 60kW/m2 (medium wave) and 150kW/m2 (CIR).

3.Long wave

Long infrared transmitter is usually used in the said low-temperature far infrared sauna room. These only constitute a higher and more expensive range of the infrared sauna market. Far infrared emitters do not use carbon, quartz or high watt ceramic emitters. They emit near-infrared and mid infrared radiation, heat and light, but use low tile ceramic plates that maintain low temperatures, while still emitting far infrared radiation.
