Flanged immersion heater is an important heating element in electric heating equipment. According to different working environments, the choice of material is very important. Here is going to show you 4 types of surface material of flanged immersion heater.
1. Stainless steel flanged immersion heater
There are many different types of stainless steel , such as stainless steel 304, stainless steel 321, stainless steel 316L, etc. The normal flange electric heating tube is mainly made of stainless steel 304, which is also the most widely used. Stainless steel 321 is better than stainless steel 304. Stainless steel 316L is generally suitable for alkaline liquids, but it is generally not recommended for use in strong acids and alkalis.
2. Titanium flanged immersion heater
Titanium flanged immersion heaters are generally suitable for chrome plating, acid copper, nickel plating, passivation, filling, oxidation tank, chromic acid anodizing, phosphating acid tin plating and other processes.
3. Teflon flanged immersion heater
Teflon flanged immersion heaters are generally suitable for corrosive liquids such as strong acid and strong alkali. The general process temperature is less than 105 °C. The advantages of Teflon flanged electric heating pipe are that it does not adhere, does not scale, and has uniform surface heat dissipation.
4. Quartz flanged immersion heater
Quartz flanged electric heating pipes are generally suitable for use with anti-corrosive liquids, except for hydrofluoric acid.
According to the strength of acid and alkali from weak to strong, we generally choose the order of materials: stainless steel 304, stainless steel 316, Teflon and titanium . Prices are also increasing.
