How to make the thick film medical heater

Thick film production technology

Thick film heating elements are manufactured in a completely different way than conventional heating elements (PTC, electromagnetic, etc.). The thick film heating element consists of a stainless steel substrate with an insulating layer (meeting dielectric strength requirements) printed on it, followed by a layer of resistive paste, followed by a contact and connection layer, all of which are then top covered with insulation layer (provides protection against mechanical damage only).

Throughout the entire production process, the product is prepared in a high air purity class room, individual layers are applied by screen printing, and each layer is sintered immediately after drying, thus guaranteeing the ultimate quality of our products.

Therefore, the precisely manufactured thick film heating element has the characteristics of 1. rapid temperature rise; 2. extremely low heat capacity; 3. small temperature fluctuation; 4. long service life. The heating efficiency is as high as 97%.

These components operate at standard line voltage (400 V high). Thick film heating elements have very high surface power densities - up to 60W/cm2. Nonetheless, its operating conditions should be adjusted according to the specific application, when the application is developed and the thick film heating element provides sufficient heat, it should be reasonably transferred so that the surface temperature does not exceed 300°C (for higher temperature requirements must consult our technical department).
