What is a thick film heater?
Thick film heater is a type of heating element made by applying a layer of resistive material onto a ceramic or metal substrate. This resistive material is typically a metal oxide or similar compound, which has high electrical resistance and can generate heat when an electric current passes through it.
The term "thick film" refers to the process used to create the heater, where the resistive layer is deposited in a relatively thick layer, typically ranging from a few micrometers to a few hundred micrometers in thickness. This layer is usually printed or screen-printed onto the substrate.
