PTC is the abbreviation of "Positive Temperature Coefficient". It is a new material sintered from barium titanate mixed with trace rare earth elements. It was first made in 1961.
First, it can stop heating up when it reaches a certain temperature. It can automatically adjust the temperature with the change of external temperature. If it is installed in the air conditioner, it can automatically change the temperature of the hot air. Secondly, although it is a heating element, it has no open fire and is relatively safe. Therefore, it should be used in some small household appliances such as electric heating liquid mosquito repellent incense mosquito repellent. Moreover, it is rarely affected by the fluctuation of power supply voltage. As long as the voltage can ensure that its temperature rises to a certain value, it can work stably, which is very important for the stable work of electric heater.
Because of these advantages, PTC heating elements have been used in more than 40 kinds of household appliances that need heating elements, such as electric iron, dryer, electric heat preservation device and so on.
