How to choose a temperature sensor?
If you want to make a reliable temperature measurement, you first need to choose the correct temperature instrument, that is, a temperature sensor. Among them, thermocouple, thermistor, platinum resistance thermometer (RTD) and temperature IC are all commonly used temperature sensors in testing.

Let's take a look at the selection methods of two common temperature meters: thermocouple and thermistor.
1. Thermocouple Thermocouple is the most commonly used temperature sensor in temperature measurement. But it is not suitable for high-precision measurement and application.
2. Thermistor Thermistor is made of semiconductor materials, most of which have a negative temperature coefficient, that is, the resistance value decreases as the temperature increases. It is very suitable for current control applications that require fast and sensitive temperature measurement.

The small size of the thermistor is an advantage. It can stabilize quickly without causing thermal load. However, it is not strong, and high current will cause self-heating. If the thermistor is exposed to high heat, it will cause permanent damage.
Through the above introduction, I hope you can choose the temperature sensor according to your actual use environment.
